The Nike Air More Uptempo "OG" is Finally Making a Comeback

If you ask any sneakerhead what the most iconic Nike basketball shoe is outside of Jordan Brand, there's a high chance that they'd bring up with Nike Air More Uptempo. Famously worn by Scottie Pippen during the 1995-1996 NBA season, it has been one of the most sought-after hardcourt silhouettes for the past 27 years. If you still don't have a pair in your collection, you're in luck, as the original colourway is set to make a comeback this year.

World-renowned for its massive "AIR" branding that's strategically placed across the lateral and medial sidewalls, this oversized lettering is a signature Air More Uptempo feature. Embellished on top of a slick black nubuck upper, you'll also find pull tabs across the tongue and heel for a rugged look and feel. Elsewhere, a Swoosh is finely stitched across the toebox, while a jewelled version is finely inlaid around the back for that classic Uptempo aesthetic. All of this then sits on top of a blacked out Air midsole that comes complete with a series of exposed bubbles, just like the '90s OG.

At this moment in time, we're still unsure when the Nike Air More Uptempo "OG" will return, but you can bet that The Edit LDN will be the first to keep you updated. Let us know what you think of this retro silhouette, and in related news, the Nike Shox TL is also coming back soon!
