The Union LA x Air Jordan 1 Footscape is the Hybrid Sneaker We Never Knew We Needed

After months and months of leaks and rumours, Union LA's next Air Jordan 1 High collaboration has finally been revealed, and it's definitely not what we were expecting. Unlike anything that we've seen before, the Union LA x Air Jordan 1 Footscape combines Michael Jordan's flagship from 1985 with an iconic Nike silhouette from 1995, resulting in a hybrid shoe that we never knew we needed... until now.

Boasting a premium full leather construction, these Jordans are painted in a crisp "Sail" hue with "Wolf Grey" accents descending upon the collar and Swoosh. "Pale Vanilla" tones outline the upper for a seriously vintage vibe, and the signature "UN/LA" tag is stitched on the ankle in a bold "Metallic Gold." Around the heel, you'll also find "BBS" embroidery which actually nods to Union founder Chris Gibbs' wife Beth, and her Bephie’s Beauty Supply brand.

Of course, you can't talk about this sneaker without mentioning the woven detailing across the lateral and medial sidewalls. Taken directly from the Footscape Woven, this gives it an extra flexible and versatile fit and finish that's surprisingly comfortable on-foot. All of this, paired with a Air midsole, and you've got yourself a winner.

Not much else is known about the Union LA x Air Jordan 1 Footscape "Sail" at this moment in time, but it's expected to release very soon alongside an army of other colourways. Let us know what you think of this hybrid shoe, and in related news, the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 "Blue" could be on the way!
