2023's most hyped Dunk Low is one that you've probably never even heard of. That's because the highly-coveted Nike Dunk Low "Setsubun" was released exclusively in Asia. Thankfully though, you can secure your size right now here at The Edit LDN!
Inspired by Setsubun, the Japanese event that celebrates the first day of spring, those who participate in this festival traditionally toss roasted soybeans out of their doors or towards relatives to ward off any evil spirits. Working on top of a light nude leather base that's slightly cracked for a vintage vibe, it's overlaid by brown and grey suede panels for an extra premium look and feel.
Bold purple accents make their way to the inner sockliner and Nike Swoosh, and you'll also find a caricature of Tsuno Daishi, the Great Horned Master, finely embroidered around the heel. The Dunk is finished off with art from Utagawa Kuniyoshi plastered across the insoles. This piece, named "Kintoki Throwing Beans at Fleeing Demon" is a classic work that's extremely popular, especially around Setsubun.
If you didn't manage to cop the Nike Dunk Low "Setsubun", you're in luck, as the coveted colourway is available here at The Edit LDN. In related news, Hiroshi Fujiwara just teased the CLOT x fragment design x Nike Dunk Low "White Silk"!
