If you thought Chitose Abe was done with the LDWaffle silhouette, you'd be very wrong. After dropping a series of coveted colourways such as the "Black Nylon" and the "Pine Green," it looks like the Japanese fashion designer is set to revisit the high heat hybrid this season with the never-before-seen sacai x Nike LDWaffle Woven "Multicolor."
Images courtesy of kicksdong, this upcoming rendition drops the usual Flyknit construction in favour of a multicoloured textile upper that's as versatile as it gets. Lush green suede adorns the lacing system, and of course, it wouldn't be a sacai shoe without all of the usual deconstruction details, including the double tongue setup, extra laces, and the two Nike Waffle midsoles underfoot.
Co-branding makes its way throughout the sneaker, and this comes packed in the signature all-red shoebox that's made for all of the collectors out there.
Not much else is known about the sacai x Nike LDWaffle Woven "Multicolor" at this moment in time, but it's expected to release later this year. Let us know what you think of this upcoming collab, and while you're here, you might as well take a closer look at the Nigel Sylvester x Nike Air Ship!
