The Nike Air Max Plus Drift Introduces the Next Generation of Tuned Air

This year mark's the 25th anniversary of the Air Max Plus, and while Nike is celebrating this massive milestone by bringing back OG colourways like the "Sunset," it's also ready to reveal its spiritual successor with the upcoming Nike Air Max Plus Drift. Clearly inspired by the '90s icon, make sure you read on to find out everything that we know so far.

Images courtesy of JD Sports, the Air Max Plus Drift features the same ballistic mesh base as the Sean McDowell-designed sneaker, but it now boasts an even beefier design that falls perfectly in line with the chunky trainer trend that everyone's talking about these days. These thick overlays wrap around the entire upper in a clean beige hue, and are accented with chocolatey brown details throughout for added depth.

Underfoot, the Tuned Air midsole has been heightened for additional comfort and cushioning, and this particular pair is fitted with a gum rubber outsole for extra grip and traction. The Air Max Plus Drift is then finished off with Swoosh branding, both on the tongue and on the lateral heel.

Not much else is known about the Nike Air Max Plus Drift at this moment in time, but our sources state that a Summer 2024 release is on the cards. Let us know what you think of this upcoming silhouette, and while you're here, you might as well take your first look at the Nike Air Max DN "Anthracite"!
