Kanye West x adidas is Officially Back

At the end of last year, adidas prematurely terminated its partnership with Kanye West due to anti-semitic comments that he made across his social media channels. With that said, after months and months of hemming and hawing, the German sportswear company has, quite shockingly, decided that it will continue to sell Yeezys.

Over $1.3 billion worth of sneakers are currently just sitting in storage, so this decision was made to hopefully minimise the brand's profit loss, as well as to avoid a potential issue with sustainability. "What we are trying to do now over time is to sell some of this merchandise… Burning the goods would not be a solution,” explains Bjørn Gulden, CEO of adidas. The sportswear imprint pondered about donating all of the sneakers but felt that it would lead to them reaching the market in a volatile way.

As part of the his contract, Ye will still receive a 15% commission for every sale, but the Three Stripes added that they'll also donate a partial amount of the proceeds to charities and organisations that his racist remarks have offended.

Not much else is known at this moment in time, so make sure you keep it locked at The Edit LDN for all of the latest details. In related news, the JJJJound x adidas Samba is also coming soon.
