Das Obermaterial des Nike Air Rubber Dunk UNC besteht aus Gummi, Kunstleder und Mesh. Auf der Zunge sind rohe Kanten zu finden, die ein dekonstruiertes Element mit sich bringen, das Virgil Abloh bekanntermaßen zu seinen Nike-Kollaborationen hinzufügt. Schließlich führt die Zwischensohle das Gummithema fort, da Gummigehäuse um die Air Bubble-Einheit herum angeordnet sind.
