The Air Jordan 1 High “UNC,” short for the University of North Carolina, is one of the original colour-ways of Michael Jordan’s first signature shoe, released in 1985. Designed by Peter Moore. The “UNC” colour-way pays homage to Michael Jordan’s college days at the University of North Carolina, where he played under legendary coach Dean Smith. The colour scheme features a combination of white and Carolina blue on the leather upper, representing the university’s official colours. This connection to his alma mater adds a sentimental and nostalgic touch to the shoe’s design. The Air Jordan 1 “UNC” is particularly significant as it symbolises the beginning of Michael Jordan’s legendary basketball journey. It was during his time at UNC that Jordan’s talent and skills started to catch the attention of the basketball world, setting the stage for his monumental impact on the NBA.

Condition

Worn/used. Heel, inner & outer quarter panels, toe box all have scuffs scratches and signs of age. Midsole has excessive glue darkening & dirt signs and midsole tip on right shoe has slightly broken off. Toe box tip has clear signs of paint fading. Outer soles are used and dirty and the rubber shaves off towards the back of the shoes. There is cracking in swoosh as it wraps along the heel panel. Ankle collar is dirty and has no blue paint remaining. Foam inside sock lining is stiff and brittle due to age.
