The Nike Air Max 1 86 "Big Bubble" is Officially Making a Comeback
It's going to be one helluva year for the Air Max 1. With plenty of special collaborations rumoured to be coming very soon, it looks like Nike will also be bringing back one of the most iconic AM1 iterations of all-time in the form of the Nike Air Max 1 86 "Big Bubble." A legendary silhouette that was part of the Beaverton brand's original production run in 1986, if you didn't manage to secure a pair back in the day, now's your chance.
Returning in the original "White" and "Sport Red" colour combination, this Air Max 1 is crafted from a combination of mesh, leather, and suede. A fiery Swoosh shoots through the lateral and medial sidewalls, while additional branding is finely stitched across the tongue tag and heel badge.
Shifting your focus down below, you'll find that the Air midsole has been significantly beefed up, allowing more space for the namesake "Big Bubble." This see-through unit sits around the heel, offering comfort and cushioning that has, quite literally, been taken to new heights.
According to The Edit LDN's sources, the Nike Air Max 1 86 "Big Bubble" will launch on March 26th to fall in line with Nike's annual Air Max Day event.
