Salehe Bembury Just Flexed His New Balance 1906R Collab
And just like that, Paris Fashion Week has finished for another season, and while travelling to and from the event, Salehe Bembury took to his personal Instagram to tease his upcoming New Balance 1906R collaboration. Marking the very first time that the New York City designer has taken on this silhouette, his rendition is unlike anything that we've seen before.
While Bembury's other New Balance sneakers, like the 2002R and 990v2, are all covered in tonal suede, his 1906R opts for a something drastically different. Working on top of a ballistic mesh base, this fades from a canary yellow at the front all the way to a fiery red around the back. Metallic silver overlays wrap around the rest of the upper, kind of like the Aimé Leon Dore collab from last month, and this sits on top of a highly sculpted ABZORB midsole that's as comfortable as it gets.
Not much else is known about the Salehe Bembury x New Balance 1906R at this moment in time, but it's expected to be officially revealed over the next couple of weeks. Let us know what you think of this brand new design, and while you're here, you might as well get up close with the GANNI x New Balance 1906!
