The Air Jordan 2 is often considered the least appreciated silhouette among the 1-15 line-up. This sentiment arises from its initially high price point and the absence of the Swoosh logo on the upper, unlike its successful predecessor, the Air Jordan 1. Sneaker enthusiasts are well aware of the lack of love for this silhouette. Now, Nike seeks to further build on this shift with the introduction of the classic "Black Cement" colorway on the Air Jordan 2. Unlike the AJ3, this pair omits the elephant print panels, a move that maintains the luxury-inspired aesthetic of the silhouette. The shoe features a combination of smooth leather and faux iguana-textured panels in a dominant black hue. The typical perforations, lacing system, and plastic heel support remain unchanged, with occasional grey accents highlighting the shoe's design elements. The Wings insignia patch in red on the tongue adds a pop of color that is echoed throughout the shoe, including on the tongue piping.
