After what can only be described as an eternity of waiting, the Supreme x Nike Air Bakin has officially been revealed by the New York City streetwear imprint. Rumours of this collaboration first surfaced all the way towards the beginning of last year, so you can just about imagine how hype we are now that it's finally here.
At the end of the '90s, Nike's basketball division was world-renowned for designing some of the wildest looking shoes that the hardcourt has ever seen, and the Air Bakin is a prime example of this extravagant aesthetic. Famously worn by Tim Hardaway during his time with Miami Heat, there was nothing quite like it. In fact, even today, it's hard to compare it to any other model after all of this time.
Made exclusively for Supreme, it comes in two colourways including "Black" and "White. The former boasts tumbled leather across the side panels which are painted with a gradient effect, while the latter opts for an all-white palette that's as clean as it gets. Oversized pull tabs hit the tongue and heel for a rugged look and feel, and around the back, you'll find "NYC" embroidered with a devilish effect.
The Supreme x Nike Air Bakin Spring 2023 collection will drop on March 2nd. Expected to sell out immediately, make sure you keep it locked at The Edit LDN if you want a guaranteed pair. While you're here, you might as well get a sneak peek of the Supreme x Nike Air Force 1 "Baroque Brown"!
