The adidas Campus 80s "Croptober" is Ready to Blaze It This 4/20

According to folklore, the term "4/20" originated back in 1971 when five high school students in Cali were searching for an abandoned cannabis crop. When they finally sourced the legendary plant, they decided that, at 4:20pm everyday, they would blaze up against a statue of Louis Pasteur. This tradition very quickly spread across the world, leading April 20th to be called "Weed Day."

To celebrate this annual tradition, around this time every year, sneaker brands unwrap their very own Mary Jane-inspired shoes. While Nike and New Balance have yet to reveal their Devil Lettuce offerings, adidas has given sneakerheads a taste of the adidas Campus 80s "Croptober," and it might just be one of their best 4/20 colourways ever.

Inspired by the season of harvesting, these Campus 80s feature a light nude leather upper. This layer slowly but surely tears away over time to reveal a lush green suede base that's clearly a nod to weed. Trippy rainbow patterns feature on the insole and sockliner, and the midsole underfoot is finished with a smokey effect to keep in line with the danky theme.

Expected to release on, you guessed it, April 20th, the adidas Campus 80s "Croptober" will be available in limited numbers, so make sure you keep it locked at The Edit LDN for your best chance to secure your size. In related news, a JJJJound x adidas collaboration is coming very soon.
