Concepts x Nike SB Dunk High "Ugly Sweater"

When it comes to Christmas-themed sneakers, you just can't talk about them without bringing up the legendary Concepts x Nike SB Dunk High "Ugly Sweater." Regarded by many to be the best Xmas colourway ever made, this Dunk originally released in 2017 and it's still extremely sought-after even after half a decade. Boasting a full leather base, it's decorated with a seasonal selection of festive graphics throughout, including frowning snowmen, wrapped presents, and holly. This was Concepts' second "Ugly Sweater" collection following 2013's version which was also pretty popular.

Home Alone x adidas Forum Low "Cream White"

If you ask anyone to name the best Christmas movie of all-time, there's a massive chance that they'd bring up Home Alone. Hitting the silver screen back in 1990, the film is still a must-watch over three decades later. That's why we've added the Home Alone x adidas Forum Low "Cream White" to this list. Inspired by the traps that Kevin McCallister set for Harry and Marv, you'll find burn marks and distressed details throughout. The tongue has also been designed to look like a doormat. Pretty neat, right?

Nike Kobe 6 Protro "Grinch"

While the late and great Kobe Bryant isn't with us anymore, his legacy continues to live on through iconic trainers like the Nike Kobe 6 Protro "Grinch." Released at the end of 2020, it pays tribute to the infamous Dr. Seuss. Painted in a vibrant green and red colour combination, the upper is decorated with a faux snakeskin design as a nod to the GOAT's Black Mamba nickname. It also comes with a pair of fiery red laces so you can make them even more festive.

sacai x Nike VaporWaffle "Villain Red"

While the sacai x Nike VaporWaffle "Villain Red" isn't strictly a Christmas-inspired sneaker, its Holiday-ready palette says otherwise. Created by one of the most celebrated Japanese artists of our generation, Chitose Abe has applied her signature deconstructed aesthetic to this hyped hybrid. From the tongues and lacing systems all the way to the Swooshes and midsoles, everything has been doubled up for a look that is quite literally twice as nice. Best of all, it's available at The Edit LDN right now. Buy now

Nike Air Max 90 "Gift Wrapped"

Covered from heel to toe in sweet candy canes, the Nike Air Max 90 "Gift Wrapped" originally released back in 2015 and it's definitely one of the merriest Christmas-inspired trainers of all-time. Metallic gold accents hit the heel and lace tips, while the sockliner is dipped in a lush green hue. Of course, you can't talk about this Air Max without mentioning the tinsel-like Swoosh that glides through the laterals and medials.

Sean Cliver x Nike SB Dunk Low "Holiday Special"

While the Sean Cliver x Nike SB Dunk Low "Holiday Special" doesn't look like a typical Xmas shoe, we can assure you that it most definitely is one. Made in collaboration with the American artist, he has reworked the toebox perforations to feature a snowflake and he's also added his own artwork onto the left insole with elves crafting toys for all the good kids. The rubber outsole has also been given an icy makeover, keeping in line with the Winter Wonderland theme. Buy now

Kith x New Balance 992 "Kithmas"

Back in 2020, Ronnie Fieg made a last minute announcement with the Kith x New Balance 992 "Kithmas." A three-shoe collection, this red pair was definitely the most festive of the terrific trio. Decked out in buttery smooth suede throughout with premium leather detailing, it sold out literally within seconds. Bear in mind that was before the 992 became as hyped as it is now. In fact, NB was still seen as a pretty "nerdy" brand back then. How times have changed, eh?

Air Jordan 1 Mid SE "Christmas"

The latest sneaker to drop as part of this list, the Air Jordan 1 Mid SE "Christmas" is literally what is says on the tin. Working on top of a black leather base that's finely debossed with festive detailing, all-red leather wraps around the front and back of the Jordan, while Christmas tree green laces tie everything together. The Air midsole is also lined with a dash of gum rubber, making these ideal for those particularly snowy mornings. If you want a pair in your rotation, it's actually available at The Edit LDN now. Buy now

Reebok InstaPump Fury "Grinch"

We can't talk about festive footwear without chatting about the Reebok InstaPump Fury "Grinch." As you might have already guessed, this sneaker is, again, a nod to the Dr. Seuss character, but this time it takes its inspiration quite literally with a furry green upper. While these certainly aren't made for the faint of heart, if you have these on your feet over the Holidays you'll definitely be the talk of the town. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is entirely up to you.

Nike Air Force 1 High "Christmas Sweater"

And last but not least, we have the Nike Air Force 1 High "Christmas Sweater." While these may look like another classic pair of Air Force 1 from a distance, when you take a closer look you'll find Fair Isle detailing throughout that resembles an ugly sweater that you might rock up to your office Xmas party. It's also lined with a fleecy sockliner so you can look cool and star warm at the same time.

And that's that! While there are hundreds of Christmas-inspired sneakers out there, these are just some of The Edit LDN's favourites. If there are any that you think should be added on this list, hit us up over on Instagram and don't forget to give us a follow while you're there!
